Human Trafficking Disclosure
Carboline Company is committed to ensuring that our supply chain
reflects our value and respect for human rights. Carboline fully
supports efforts to combat, prohibit, and prevent human trafficking
and slavery; in support of this philosophy, and in compliance with
the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657),
Carboline states as follows:
1. Verification. Carboline has conducted a risk assessment of its
supply chain based on the U.S. Department of State Trafficking in
Persons Report of 2010; most suppliers are located in the U.S. and
other Tier 1 countries considered low risk. Because of the low
risk, we have not employed a third party for verification.
2. Audit. Carboline expects all overseas suppliers will follow a
code of conduct similar to the code we require in the U.S. and
depend on our suppliers to audit their operations for compliance.
Because of the low risk in our supply chain, we do not currently
audit suppliers for compliance however, we will consider more
intense measures for any suppliers we determine are of medium or
high risk.
3. Certification. Carboline does not require suppliers to certify
that products are made in compliance with the laws regarding human
trafficking and slavery of the countries in which they are doing
business however, we will consider this option if it is determined
a vendor is of medium or high risk.
4. Accountability. Carboline employees, upon hire, are required to
read and acknowledge company policies and procedures which include
a statement regarding human trafficking and slavery.
5. Training. Carboline provides training to all supply chain
personnel regarding their role in preventing human trafficking and
slavery.
